World Air Games in Torino (Italy) from June 7th to 13th 2009... Get ready!

It is now clear that 2009 will be the year of the next FAI World Air Games. Among the five initial bidders (Torino Italy, London United Kingdom, Moscow Russia, Melbourne Australia and Odense Denmark), the final choice has been settled in favor or TORINO Italy. The dates are between 7 and 13 June 2009. Aeromodeling will definitely be part of this one week show that will benefit from worldwide media support. Three demonstration aeromodeling categories are planned : Airplane Artistic Aerobatics (F6A), Aeromusicals (F6B) and Hand Thrown Gliders (F6D). About 15 pilots will be invited worldwide to take part to each of these events. Look for the last version of the FAI Sporting Code, volume 6, for details. Also read the selection procedure document.
