The duties and current members of the Executive Board of the Belgian Aeromodeling League

For all matters, the Board refers to the Internal Rules of the Belgian Aeromodeling League and its Statutes.

Members

For the current year, the members of the Board are as follows:

The board annually designates the persons in charge of the Chair of the Sports Commission, the treasury, the secretariat and the session reporter. All members ot the Board have one vote when decisions have to be taken. Decisions are taken on the basis of the absolute majority.

Duties

The duties of the Board are the general duties as defined by the Belgian law about non-profit associations. Among others, the Board has to :

  • approve annually the programmes of sport sections, based on a report by the chairman of the Sports Commission
  • approve the expenditures for the day-by-day management of the association, and among others
    • the payment of the fees to the associations of which the League is currently member
    • the fees to add Belgian contests to the International Contest Calendar ot the CIAM
    • the fees to register Belgian teams in Continental of World FAI Championships

Meetings

The Board meets whenever necessary, but in principle at least :

  • at the end of the Annual General Meeting of the Associate Members, to designate the people in charge of the various key functions of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Session Reporter, Chairman of the Sports Committee
  • a few times during the year, as judged appropriate to efficiently manage the association
  • towards the end of the year, to prepare the next Annual General Meeting
